Rock breaking

So much for doing any kind of painting.  Spent most of the week drilling holes in the rocks that have fallen behind our house.  40 holes, one inch diameter, up to 8 inches deep.  Thank goodness for long podcasts, because the hammer drill is good, but it's a tedious task.

Fortunately, once drilled and filled with the Dexpan expanding grout, the stuff did it's job and the rock is steadily breaking apart.  Another few chonks off the boulder and we can get on with breaking it up some more.  Should only take the rest of the summer at a steady pace.  The rebuild the retaining wall.

That said, using a sledge to break up the rest definitely counts as 'ironclad approved.'

Stay tuned for more...
